One Will Imagine what the will of one can do .....
|
Note from Mr. Richard Krainz, Principal
Through our connections with Dr. Leon Hesser and Dr. Norman Borlaug we have created the One Will project. Dr. Hesser worked with Dr. Borlaug to end world hunger and wrote a book about him entitled, The Man Who Fed the World. He also wrote an autobiography entitled, Nurture the Heart, Feed the World.
In a chance meeting with Dr. Hesser this past Fall, the wheels were set in motion for Immaculate Conception School to work with these two individuals and their organizations. Through these interactions, the opportunities to learn about others and share our values and faith are endless for our students, their families, and the community.
We are excited to be blessed with this opportunity to work with such distinguished individuals and are eager to open the many new doors which will "ignite learning" here at Immaculate Conception School.

One Will....... the journey
|
The idea of it all formulated when Principal Krainz met Dr. Leon Hesser at a workshop in the fall of 2007.
The Student Council created the ideas for the One Will vision, mission, and goals.
In preparation for Dr. Hesser's visit to Immaculate Conception School, our students and teachers have been learning about the vision and mission of One Will.
Each class created a project to present to Dr. Hesser duirng his visit to each of the classrooms.
We contacted the Mary Tjosvold Nursery and Primary School in Sante Bamenda, Cameroon, Africa.
We are looking to form a partnership with this school so our students can learn together, work together and serve together.
We have contacted a school in Mexico and are anxiously waiting for a reply.
|
One Will Vision
We will globalize our perspective of the world by learning together, working together, and serving together with other cultures.
|
One Will Mission
To expand our understanding of the world we live in by learning together, working together, serving together. Within this project, we will create a partnership with schools in Mexico and Africa. With an increased understanding of the world, we will be better suited to serve at Jesus did. The will of one can make a difference.
